1. Introduction
Aardvark Bathrooms (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Aardvark Giving Back initiative to support individuals and families in need of bathroom improvements. By submitting a nomination or participating in the initiative, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
Nominees must live within the specified service area (as defined on our website or promotional materials).
Nominations may be submitted by the nominee themselves or by a third party with the nominee’s permission.
Final selection is at our sole discretion.
3. Permissions & Consent
3.1 – Permission to Enter the Property (Including Landlord Consent)
By participating, the nominee (or homeowner) confirms that:
They have full authority to grant us access to the property.
If the property is rented, the nominee must obtain written consent from the landlord or managing agent before any inspection or work begins.
They agree to provide a copy of this written consent to Aardvark Bathrooms upon request.
They understand that we cannot proceed with any work until appropriate landlord permission has been secured.
They consent to Aardvark Bathrooms and its approved contractors carrying out inspection, installation, and renovation work.
They will ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area.
4. Scope of Work
The renovation provided is limited to the items, fixtures, and labour explicitly included in the award.
Any additional work requested by the nominee may be quoted separately and is not included in the initiative.
We reserve the right to modify the scope if unforeseen issues arise (e.g., structural problems, unsafe plumbing, electrical hazards).
5.1 General Liability
While we take every reasonable precaution, Aardvark Bathrooms is not liable for:
Pre‑existing issues within the property (e.g., structural defects, hidden water damage, faulty wiring).
Damage caused by conditions outside our control (e.g., poor existing installation, unsafe materials, or access restrictions).
Any loss, inconvenience, or costs incurred due to delays, changes in scope, or inability to complete the project.
5.2 Health & Safety
The homeowner/occupier must ensure the work area is safe, clear, and accessible.
Pets, children, and vulnerable individuals must be kept away from the work area during installation.
5.3 Third‑Party Contractors
Where third‑party contractors are used:
They operate under their own insurance and liability policies.
Aardvark Bathrooms is not responsible for their independent actions, omissions, or workmanship.
6. No Cash Alternative
The renovation has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded.
7. Withdrawal or Cancellation
We reserve the right to withdraw the offer or cancel the project if:
Access is unsafe or unreasonable.
Significant undisclosed issues are discovered.
The nominee or homeowner breaches these Terms & Conditions.
Circumstances arise that make the project unfeasible.
8. Data Protection
Personal information submitted through the nomination process will be used solely for administering the initiative and related communication.
We will handle all data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.
You may request deletion of your data at any time, except where retention is required for legal or insurance purposes.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a nomination or agreeing to receive the renovation, you confirm that you:
Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
Have the authority to grant permissions related to the property.
Agree to the use of images and stories as outlined above.
